Saturday was my grandaughters birthday party, a hall was hired, all her class was invited and my daughter thought there was no sound system. Ah they said can you take yours (what I use for karaokes). We'll come and load it. Course says I then as impatient as ever I carry stuff out of the shed, can;t wait me. All was well until last speaker, I had flip flops on and managed to turn my foot over on uneven ground heard a crack saw stars. . and then . . for good measure dropped the speaker on it
Well after sitting in the garden for 10 minutes I hopped up and limped to finish what I'd started. When the cavalry arrived I showed them the now bruised and swelling foot, was told I should have waited, yes yes I know, also told I should go to hospital. Only bruised I said got to do party. Well I was running (hobblng) around after 30 8year olds still thinking just bruised. Next day I cooked Sunday lunch for 9 and it wasn't til after this my foot swelling more and turning black I allowed my daughter to cart me off to A&E. Only bruised I said.
Broken, got have a cast can't walk on it, come back Tuesday says nurse practitioner. You should have seen me on the crutches bit big they were I nearly broke other foot.
Well to cut a long story short I was about to move into a bungalow so all the family came back that night and moved the essentials so I could stay in bungalow rather than shuffle up and down stairs on my behind. Hence why I've not been able to get on t'internet.
But now I have a new Dongle . . . and that's another story
Anyway went to fracture clinic Tuesday where I got well and truly plastered, given better crutches told I could now put foot to ground and that I have to go back in 3 weeks. So here I have sat going stir crazy and having blog withdrawel symptoms.
Not being able to drive thats the worst
I'm having to sit most of the day with my leg up to reduce the swelling

Yes I managed to try and get a speaker out of shed for grandaughters party even though I knew help was coming and turned my foot then dropped speaker on it
It could'nt have come at a worse time as it means I can't drive so means can't give Dawn and Ray same help at minute. Mind all family including them have rallied arouind and helped me.
Anyway I'm off to check you all out now I've managed to get my new dongle working at last

Raymond Froggatt
@ 2009-07-16 – 16:04:22
Does anyone else remember him?
***Raymond Froggatt was born in Birmingham on 13th November 1941.
Due to the illness TB in his teenage years Raymond was forced to change his life style.
Froggie, as he is known by his army of fans, started his working days as a pipe lagger, night time would be spent singing in the pubs and secretly writing poetry in his spare time, a great talent that maybe would have stayed hidden if not for the illness. Once he started to recover from his illness Froggie decided to advertise for musicians to put together a Band, four very talented musicians called The Monopoly were to become Froggie's new Band.
Before long Froggie became signed to the top record companies of the time POLYDOR, BELL, JET WARNER, his writing talents also led to his signing to major publishing houses a great honour as his songs were being recorded by artist all over the country and abroad. CLIFF RICHARD, DAVE CLARK FIVE to name but a few.***Well I try to see him when he comes near me once a year and I went a few weeks ago and had a brilliant night. Here's the pics:-

My daughter got me the scarf off the net 'cos I complained I hadn't got one to wave

Not quite the day I planned
@ 2009-07-04 – 22:47:41
No I was going to have a day at home tidying and generally just taking it easy, but as usual things didn't go to plan. As Ray was having real trouble breathing and has once again been rushed into hospital. I was in the middle of blogging when I got the call and my day was turned upside down.
I went over to take charge of the two grandaughters, I was a little perturbed by the 8yr old watching the paramedics so closely and seeing her dad in such a bad way so thought they needed a care free childrens day (she is far too grown up with whats going on).
Anyway I took them to my other daughters so they could play with her two girls 10 and 8 and we have had areally great day
inspite of what else was going on.
First they had ice creams and played on the trampoline, then we went to the park and swings, followed by a walk along the canal picking wild Flowers
When we got back to my daughters her partner had made a plate of sandwiches with crisps and bought them all sweets
Then he looked after them all and they dressed up while my daughter and I went to see to my dogs and other daughters dog. When we got back they had made up a play and set seats in the garden ready for us to watch
Later I left them there again while I went to hospital to see what was happening and give daughter some support, Ray by this time had been admitted onto a ward and was breathing slightly easier and very tired. We spent a little time together before I brought my daughter home and we fetched chinky chip shop food for us all to eat
After which I took them back to there own home and now I am ready for a cup of tea and putting my feet up.
I really enjoyed watching all the girls play together and having a carefree day inspite of what else was going on.
I had forgotten how nice the local paths were and how many secretplaces there were for the children to enjoy

Cat Napping
@ 2009-07-02 – 15:31:24
I've just been to check on the cat family as my daughter is out at work, opened the door and the blanket and box were empty.
*Here Abbey abbey abbey* no cat no kittens, checked under the beds, in the wardrobe behind the sofas and then I heard the purring and squeaks. Then I just spotted a leg poking out from underneath
She has taken her little brood right under the sofa (it's one of those you push a button and the base flips up for a leg rest) so I've had to text daughter and partner to tell them didn't want them springing the thing up and catching them with the metal frame.
I was begining to think they'd all been . . .Cat Napped
Got a couple of photosthe other day but they were not very clear and was going to takes some more today she obviously had other ideas
